Thanks Lisa. I actually ordered the wafers from Springtime and have started introducing it to the horses as snacks before incorporating into their feed, and also to see how receptive they are. Interestingly enough, my "sturdy" breeds -- Spanish mustang, Quarterhorses, paint horse, Morgan -- who are low maintenance (never colic, get into weird accidents, etc) love them. The thoroughbreds are more fussy. I have two who consistently love them, the rest will eagerly eat the first, then turn up their noses at the second. The strange thing is it's the same every day (will eat the first, not the second). I don't really have any specific issues I'm trying to resolve; they already get a little bit of kelp daily but I thought it would be a convenient way to give them all of the benefits at a price I can afford, particularly with the number of horses I have. My barn hand already goes above and beyond on the supplement schedule.
My dogs, on the other hand, would eat them all if I let them.
